Peru: Lucio Luque - Geisha
Impossibly sweet and floral.
This is a rare micro lot from Famed Peruvian grower Lucio Luque’s certified organic farm is in Cusco’s Incahuasi Valley in southern Peru. He is a member of the Incahuasi Cooperativea, a stellar cooperative that has consistently invested profits back into infrastruction and growth and has had a huge positive impact on their member growers. Lucio is a meticulous producer who thrives with unique and rare varietals.
We are the only coffee roaster west of the Mississippi with a small amount of this special coffee. Grown at 2200 meters, this Geisha carefully fermented for 22-30 hours after harvest and dried on raised beds for 6-10 days.
An intoxicating aroma gives way to a cup filled with florals like chamomile and rose hips. Continue on the tasting journey and you will find sugar cane, honey, lemon drop and pineapple.
With sweetness that lingers, this will be a memorable coffee experience for any coffee lover.
We roast and ship every Tuesday and Wednesday.
