"Explore the Process" Tasting Event 11/29 3:30pm
Three countries, three coffee bean varietals, one coffee process.
This is an opportunity to taste three rare coffees all processed in the same manner from Guatemala, Panama, and Yemen.
Anaerobic naturals are not new; in fact, the processing style has existed for years but it has grown increasingly popular. It is hard to find a specialty coffee roaster today without at least one Anaerobic Natural on their offering sheet. But what is it and how does it impact the flavor of the coffee? Join us to find out!
While the three coffees you will explore are all Anaerobic Naturals, each varietal offered at this event is different and each grower approached the processing style differently in regard to how long the cherries were allowed to ferment and how the coffee was dried. As a result, the coffees we taste are wildly different from one another in aroma, flavor, and complexity:
Haciencda La Esmeralda, Panama - Geisha Varietal 96 point Coffee
Finca La Bolsa, Guatemala - Pacamara Varietal 95 Point Coffee
Amin Al-Marwani, Yemen - Udaini Varietal, A Chuck’s Roast exclusive
This special event will take place at 3:30pm, 11/29/25 at:
Coffee Cycle
4856 Voltaire St.
San Diego, CA 92107
Each participant will take home a 20 gram sample of each coffee.
